Rhubarb is grown almost everywhere around rural Newfoundland. Most every home, even if they don,t grow anything else, has a Rhubard patch and like mine they are started with a few plants from friends or family.Great for jam, jelly and pies.
There are some great rhubarb patches out there for sure! Ours was also started with plants from a neighbour. Obviously it's that time of year... we're all pondering rhubarb. :)
Do you what type of rhubarb is typically grown in NL? I wamt to plant se in my garden (I live in AB), but I want tye same type my great-grandma grown in her garden in Heart's Delight, NL. Im guessing there os one common type grown in NL back in the day.
