Root cellar pictures

Here's the remainder of my vegetables stored in the the mini cellar.I still have plenty of carrots,a fish box full, you can see some of them sticking out of the soil.
The last of my turnips ,this 8 lb'er will soon be moving from the cellar into the kitchen fridge.

My seed potatoes for next season.

They have nice eyes.

This is a good temp to store vegetables.

Homegrown parsnips seeds.

On this blog I always try to show how I started  my  projects, how things  were proceeding and what the end result was good or bad.My foray into growing my own parsnips seed was a great success I'm happy to report. The 4- 1 lb. tubs below contains 100's if not 1000's of seeds . Considering that 1 seed pack that I buy contains around 60 -70 seeds there's quite a few packs here.

Homemade garden stove.

Have you been in the garden on a cold damp day and wished for a small stove to warm your hands, boil water for some soup mix or best of all have a nice cup-a-tea, here's  the stove I use..I made this one last year, got the idea of the internet.I was surprised how fast it could boil a cup of water.

I used these type of cans to make my stove.
